Well, it’s that time of year again. Cake and presents. This time, somehow, you’re 3. Continue reading
Meet my nemesis – arts & crafts
Anyone else remember Why Don’t you? from TV in the 80s? If you don’t, think Blue Peter – but hosted by children. Children that are armed with copious amounts of PVA glue and a penchant for papier maché. Continue reading
Coming soon…
Hello Bear,
You’re into your ‘surprises’ at the moment. Generally they go down a storm when you’re running out of steam at meal times, and are used to coerce you into finishing the boring bits so that you can have a not-so-boring ‘surprise’. Granted, to most toddlers that would be a chocolate- or cake-based something, but you consider those the work of the devil and are chuffed to bits with a pack of raisins or bowl of strawberries, so we just smile and sneak back to the kitchen to finish our Dairy Milk join in the chorus of “Hurrah! Fruit!”
Well it’s a good job you’re into surprises, and that they don’t have to be in chocolate form. Because we have a little surprise for you…and it’s not a lifetime supply of Pom Bears, I’m afraid. Continue reading
A year of firsts, strops and channeling One Direction
Well those 12 months whizzed by pretty quickly didn’t they? Cheeky little blighters. While 2015 passed me by in a haze of Peppa Pig, dirty nappies and countless renditions of ‘wheels on the bus’, there were a some notable highlights for the memory box. Continue reading

The stuff no-one told me
I’m not even going to bother trying to excuse myself – I am only too aware that it has been an age since I last posted on here. I don’t have a proper reason, other than life got in the way and I got a bit rubbish. Sorry about that. Continue reading
Bear’s next chapter
Peeps, I have some news for you.
The time has come for me to make a big decision. I’m very excited to tell you that, as of tomorrow, I shall be sending Mummy and Daddy off into the big wide world without me for 3 mornings a week. Meanwhile I shall be starting at playgroup; tomorrow is the first social get-together with my new buddies, just hanging out and keeping it real with some new toys and books. Oh – and there will be some brand new grown-ups there, too. Continue reading
Happy 2nd birthday!
Happy 2nd birthday, Bear!
If this last year came with a sound track, it would have been the Benny Hill theme. I have a feeling the next year might follow suit. Continue reading
Just your standard family meal out. Sort of.
See this family above? See how happy they are? They are eating out. In a restaurant – a PUBLIC restaurant. They are enjoying themselves, that’s clear, and they seem relaxed (there’s no frantic wolfing-down of meals , or a Peppa-laden iphone being used as a distraction technique. I’m guessing there’s no lumps of sandwichy mush on the floor or even the table (I mean – look at how white the tablecloth is for starters? The FOOLS!) All in all, they’ve clearly got it sussed. Honesty is the best policy (apparently)
Although we may actually have cake, because any excuse is a good excuse for cake. Continue reading
